PRAISE FOR "lOOKING FOR GREENER GRASS"
I've enjoyed reading your book very much.  My first impression is that it could be a made for TV movie. You are very descriptive. I feel like I am going on the journey with you.

He is my great grandfather. He is pictured with his second wife Ramona Garza.
His first wife, my great grandmother was Antonia Elizondo.

1622 Lozano Letter - oldest known Lozano document describing Pedro Lozano in 1622.

El Cid's wife was Jimena. Jimena's father was the Count of Oviedo. The Count of Oviedo was the uncle of King AlfonsoVI. In the "Ballad of El Cid," Jimena father is referred to as Count Lozano, which is an adopted name. In other history books Count Lozano is also named Count Gormaz. History records that El Cid had a dispute with Count Lozano and fought him in a one on one sword fight and killed him. El Cid then took Jimena, the daughter of the slain Count Lozano, as his wife. The Lozano family tree today can be traced back to this marriage.
